Several communities in south-west Wales are the latest to benefit from BT's rollout of 21st Century Network (21CN) technology, it has been revealed.
The company has confirmed that while around 90,000 homes and businesses in the area will benefit from the introduction of faster broadband by spring next year, a further 20 communities will get 21CN access.
According to BT, the investment will make broadband speeds of up to 20Mbps available to consumers and companies, which could boost interest in high-speed business connectivity.
Jon Reynolds, south-west regional director of BT, said the planned project was a huge vote of confidence for the area and organisations based across the region.
He added: "Faster broadband can help businesses become more competitive and greatly improve the online services available to households."
Homes and businesses across north-west England are also set to benefit from the rollout of 21CN services in the coming months, BT has confirmed.
