US therapeutic services provider Rainbow Rehabilitation Centers has agreed a deal to take up a multi protocol label switching (MPLS) network platform.

The organisation is set to adopt Cavalier's Enterprise Express MPLS platform as a foundation for its voice and data communications.

Rainbow Rehabilitation hopes the move will boost both its network speed and performance, as well as improve worker productivity and result in a high level of care for its patients.

Greg Lascala, director of IT at Rainbow Rehabilitation, said: "Our communications network has become the backbone of our data operations.

"We are layering additional services onto a network that previously was set aside for internal data applications only."

Global logistics services provider Deutsche Post DHL recently agreed a deal with Vodafone Global Enteprise which will give it access to MPLS network services.

The contract will see a fully managed network introduced across 67 countries, in a move which will connect over 400 sites across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
