Managed services provider MegaPath is celebrating after one of its multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) network products won a major award.
The company's Duet with MPLS and Managed Security package, which allows firms to consolidate voice and data communications over a single network, was named the 2009 Product of the Year by Internet Telephony magazine.
According to the firm, the product allows firms to enjoy a high quality of service on critical applications ranging from VoIP and enterprise solutions.
Beth Tyebjee, senior vice-president of products and project management at MegaPath, said the recognition highlights the qualities of the product.
She added: "Duet with MPLS and Managed Security provides customers with cost-effective, enterprise-class functionality and quality, which empowers their business without taxing their IT departments."
News of MegaPath's recent award win has come after publishing software developer Quark renewed its contract to take MPLS network platform from IT services provider Virtela.
