Integrated logistics provider Kuehne and Nagel has signed up a deal which will see it given access to managed multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) services.
The firm has signed a three-year extension with Orange Business Services to implement the latter's virtual private network technology in order to have full MPLS services on its network.
Kuehne and Nagel's infrastructure is based on leased lines, Ethernet and DSL technologies.
Serge Marx, global infrastructure manager at Kuehne and Nagel, said: "Orange Business Services has already offered us a solid network and service quality in the past.
"It enabled us to make significant savings without negatively affecting our operations."
Telecommunications management firm Carrier Source, which specialises in offering services to retail businesses, has signed on to New Edge Networks as a master agent.
The deal means it now has access to MPLS network technology, which is available to around 95 per cent of business addresses in the US.
