The 2010 European Attractiveness Survey released by Ernst & Young, a global leader in business advisory services, indicated that most of the 814 interviewed world business leaders believe that European businesses need to firm up or lose ground from its more dynamic global competitors. Many perceive Europe as still lacking in direction and commitment in this post-global economic crisis business environment.

The global economy has shifted polarity and has included strong players like China, Brazil, India and the Middle East into the picture – new destinations and sources of global investments that European businesses should look into to ensure competitive success. A report from the Yankee Group highlights an 8.3% bilateral trade growth between Asia and Europe, with telecommunications traffic growing at 44% annually.

To take advantage of these huge market opportunities, European businesses should strengthen their ICT infrastructure solutions by investing in global IT and managed networking services. Global networking providers such as SingTel are fast emerging to cater to these growing demands for IP VPN data services that European businesses require to facilitate expansion in Asia.

Leading industry analyst firm Gartner, Inc defines professional managed network service as driving enterprise convergence that will allow companies to deliver end-user applications to a global clientele when and where they need it. ICT infrastructure solutions built on IP VPN offered by SingTel will enable European businesses to take advantage of an extensive global network coverage that will allow them to penetrate major business markets, including the emerging Middle East and Asia Pacific markets, thus ensuring further growth in this new global business environment.
