Communications firm Cable & Wireless Worldwide has extended one of its deals in relation to multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) network services.
The company has expanded its seven-year partnership with Philippine Long Distance Telecommunications (PLDT) to offer the connectivity to enterprise customers across Asia.
In addition, Cable & Wireless Worldwide and PLDT have enhanced the international connectivity of their international POPs in Manila, by adding an Asia America Gateway leased line trunk between the Philippines and Hong Kong.
Diarmid Massey, vice-president of international carrier services at Cable & Wireless Worldwide, said its partner has a proven track record of delivering solutions to customers.
He added: "The partnership extension will allow us to provide next-generation telecommunications solutions that meet the emerging needs of global and local corporations in the Philippines."
Deutsche Post DHL recently confirmed a deal to receive MPLS network services from Vodafone Global Enterprise.
The contract will see the fully managed network provided across 400 sites in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
