Business communications provider Broadview has expanded its deployment of Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM) solutions.

The company has increased its use of Actelis' EFM solutions as it aims to provide reliable high-speed broadband connectivity to its customers.

At present, Broadview's Ethernet infrastructure delivers high-speed services to large city areas in the north-east of the US, including Baltimore, Boston, New Jersey and Philadelphia.

Sanjay Patel, vice-president of technology at Broadview, said the use of EFM solutions will allow the firm to improve its variety of services, including host IP solutions and its OfficeSuite platform.

He added: "Actelis' EFM technology provides higher bandwidth and greater coverage, allowing Broadview to offer our valued business customers broadband solutions and applications that scale with their evolving needs."

Earlier this year, Broadview revealed that its Frontline MPLS network service has provided a range of benefits to paintball equipment supplier KEE Action Sports' range of distribution centres.
